Principal Online Architect

You will be in charge of designing and building (with your team) the backend of a highly multiplayer/social online game based on a strong universe. You are ready to architect a backend that could scale and be modular to sustain/evolve in the long run. You love challenges and are willing to lead ambitious projects. You will have ownership of the online architecture of the game while having the opportunity to innovate, learn and share. The studio will bring you the environment and context to be at the cutting edge of your craft. The job will be “do” oriented, we, therefore, need you to be able to participate in the technical implementation of your vision.

  • TPC/UDP/RUDP/Sockets

  • Client/Server architecture

  • DataCompression and Bandwidth optimization

  • Lag compensation

  • Gameplay Replication (RPC, State, Interpolation, Client prediction, Physics (advanced but a huge +))

  • Understanding of replication relevancy in the context of a large world

  • Advance Knowledge of Unreal Networking API and C++

  • Physics and Mathematics for GamePlay (Basic Linear Algebra/Basic Mechanics)

  • Knowledge of another engine (Unity, InHouse etc…) is a +

  • Security good practices

  • Backend architecture

    • PatchServer

    • Auth Server (token)

    • Load Balancing

    • Knowledge of DevOps tools is a huge +

      • Docker

      • Kubernetes

    • Knowledge of the MEARN stack is a huge +
